With vineyards dating back to 372, the region of Vouvray has the power of history behind it. Situated on the right bank of the Loire River, they produce Chenin Blanc ranging from sparkling to dry to sweet. True to his philosophy of minimal intervention winemaking, Christophe Thorigny varies his style of production by the vintage.
From a cellar carved out of Vouvray's soft limestone hills, this is Chenin Blanc at its juiciest, freshest, most yummiest, best. Pretty aromas and flavors of tropical fruits, quince, and plum get lifted by a dusting of tangerine zest. It's round and generous through the steely, mouthwatering, and dry mineral finish. Certainly fun to just drink and a fine match for fruit salsas and rich cheeses.
