Until around 30 years ago, Viognier was little known outside the Northern Rhone Valley. But when people discovered the variety’s combination of heady aromatics and powerful body, production began to spread from Southern France to North America, Australia and New Zealand. A finicky grape to cultivate, it requires a proper balance of cool nights and warm days in order to preserve acidity and create the distinctive texture. The fruit in this offering was sourced from eight vineyards across the AVA, from Mendocino to Carneros and the Sonoma Coast. A full-bodied wine with vibrant flavors, it offers a lush mouth-feel, crisp finish, and mouth watering acidity that would pair well with Gruyere or Camembert cheese, sushi, or tarragon chicken.

Handpicked grapes were de-stemmed without crushing and pressed and then fermented at a cool temperature in stainless steel.

Light golden-hued, the wine offers aromas of peaches, fresh apricots, orange-blossom and honeysuckle. It’s luscious and crisp with flavors of mandarin oranges, apricots and grapefruit that open up and linger in a long finish.
