This traditional, off-dry Riesling opens with aromas of apricot, lemon, candied orange and petrol which build and eventually fill the room. At once lively and luxurious in the mouth, this vintage has structure to spare with a palate cleansing acidity that nicely balances a deceptive two percent residual sugar. This wine drinks wonderfully when it is young, fresh and vibrant. Yet because of its sugar and acidity, it will also age quite well, promising ample reward to those with a wine cellar (and restraint).
